Events: Fast-A-Thon 2011!

Thank you to everyone who came out to and/or supported Fast-A-Thon 2011!
In the spirit of the tradition of fasting, IOC wants YOU to fast for one day: September 15th. That's right. No food. No water. From sunrise to sunset, all for the cause of helping the needy. For every person that pledges to fast, IOC aims to raise money to be donated to the Alachua County Coalition for the Homeless and Hungry and the Relief Efforts in East Africa.

The guest speaker this year will be Imam Omar Suleiman. He is the current Imam of Masjid Abu Bakr As-Siddique in New Orleans, LA and the ICNA Relief Outreach Director. He is very active in engaging both Muslim and non-Muslim audiences through several university and church events.

More information about pledges, sponsors and previous events, please visit the new Fast-A-Thon website.
